Doctor of Behavioral Health Student

“Hi there! I am a certified trauma and anxiety specialist with expertise in treating trauma. I incorporate mindfulness and body-based techniques to help you understand your nervous system and develop skills to manage stress, recover from distress, and navigate trauma triggers. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a trustworthy and evidence- based treatment for trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Behavioral Health degree focused on interdisciplinary healthcare collaboration to increase holistic approaches to treatment. My doctorate focuses on addressing the interconnectedness between behavioral, emotional, psychological and physical health. (Expected graduation Summer 2026)

With a deep specialization in inner child work, I integrate somatic practices and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to promote healing from trauma and emotional wounds. By blending abstract creativity with these therapeutic approaches, I empower my clients to reconnect with their inner selves, fostering resilience and the ability to adapt and overcome challenges. My work focuses on helping clients access and heal core parts of themselves, unlocking pathways to profound personal growth and emotional transformation.

I am deeply passionate about providing outstanding, personalized care to our clients at Nourish Therapy & Wellness. I founded Nourish in 2018 with the mission to provide exceptional care with well skilled and down-to-earth providers so that Nourish can offer the support and resources clients need to empower their resilience and ability to enjoy a fulfilling and happy life.”

Annie the retired service dog

Annie comes from the Puppies Behind Bars Program based out of New York. Puppies Behind Bars is a unique program that pairs incarcerated individuals with puppies to raise and train them as service dogs for veterans and others in need. The initiative serves a dual purpose: it provides meaningful work and life skills to incarcerated individuals while preparing highly trained service dogs that can assist people with disabilities.

Incarcerated individuals undergo training to teach the puppies basic obedience and specialized tasks, fostering a sense of responsibility and compassion. Before her retirement, Annie knew almost 100 commands!

The program emphasizes the bond formed between the incarcerated individuals and the dogs, which can be transformative in many ways. Once the puppies complete their training, they are placed with veterans or individuals who can benefit from their assistance, ultimately creating a positive impact on multiple lives.
